Known as Rand Road Shoppes, this exciting project will introduce Scooter’s Coffee, a self-storage facility, and two new restaurants to the rapidly growing Deer Park area.
Located just south of the Deer Park Town Center, the development will feature a combination of retail, dining, and storage options, adding value to the surrounding community.
Scooter’s Coffee, a Nebraska-based chain known for its convenient drive-through service, is expanding its footprint across the Chicago area. As part of this development, Scooter’s will open a new location at Rand Road Shoppes, offering residents and visitors a quick and easy stop for their caffeine fix. This follows the recent approval of a Scooter’s Coffee location in Wheeling by the village board, further demonstrating the chain’s growing presence in the region.
In addition to Scooter’s Coffee, Rand Road Shoppes will feature a 6,000-square-foot retail building with space for three tenants. Two national restaurant chains, Jimmy John’s and Teriyaki Madness, are confirmed to occupy two of the storefronts, providing diverse dining options for the local community. These additions will cater to both quick-service and casual dining preferences, adding to the appeal of this dynamic development.
Extra Space Storage: Class A Self-Storage Facility
A significant component of this mixed-use project is the construction of a three-story, 120,000-square-foot self-storage facility operated by Extra Space Storage. Originally planned to be 143,400 square feet, the size was adjusted after discussions with village officials to better fit the community’s needs. This Class A self-storage facility will be built behind the retail and restaurant spaces, offering secure, climate-controlled units to accommodate the storage needs of local residents and businesses.
