Joining Hernandez as a summer intern in 2023 has been an amazing journey for me. I’m currently studying Business Administration with a minor in Innovation at the University of Florida’s Warrington College of Business, and my time at Hernandez has been full of valuable lessons that have shaped both my professional and personal growth. Right from the start, I was embraced by a team that believes in positivity, innovation, and a can-do spirit. Working alongside inspiring individuals who are passionate about construction has truly been a privilege. I had hands-on experience with real projects that contributed to the team’s success and deepened my understanding of the construction industry.

Daniel Rimada's Story
Joining Hernandez Construction as an Assistant Project Manager was a pivotal start to my journey. Working closely with the preconstruction team, I delved into material review, scope assessment, and project timelines. As I grew in my role, I took on crafting construction schedules, orchestrating site logistics, and ensuring precise project delivery in collaboration with both the field and preconstruction teams. Coordinating feedback across company departments, project owners, and architects, my contributions were recognized and paved my way into becoming an Estimator. My skill for spotting and addressing challenges early on, combined with my solid commitment to exceptional customer service, played a key role in this progression. Notable projects I’ve been proudly involved in include South Florida Logistics Center, TRX Logistics Center, Riverbend Self-Storage, and Amazon MIA2 Distribution Center. My journey at Hernandez is all about driving tangible results and securing successful project outcomes.
