Hernandez Construction is committed to developing deep connections with organizations by finding meaningful and ongoing ways to give back. We recently partnered with Bridge Development Partners and the Miami Dolphins Foundation to distribute hundreds of pre-packaged meals to the community.
After the COVID-19 global pandemic hit, the Miami Dolphins Foundation pledged to distribute at least 1,000 meals per day, six days a week for a year throughout the South Florida area. Hernandez Construction and Bridge Development Partners both stepped up to the plate to contribute to that vision.
“At Hernandez, we are used to delivering on big goals,” said Alex Hernandez, President of Hernandez Construction. “Once we heard about this opportunity to collaborate with other community leaders to help provide food security to families that might have lost their jobs as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, we knew we wanted to be a part of it. 2020 has been a challenging year for all of us so we are proud to be of service to those in need.”
There were a number of COVID precautionary measures taken while the meals were distributed including having temperatures scanned, answering a series of questions, wearing masks and gloves, social distancing whenever possible along with keeping the number of employees that participated to a minimum.
